Evaluate career support with the right questions
A degree at UPES should be assessed through the learning and support available to your actual programme. Ask the career office which services apply to your campus, degree and study mode. A university-wide headline may not describe your cohort.
Ask for programme-level evidence
- The latest dated placement or career-outcome report for the relevant programme.
- Cohort size, number seeking placement and the method used to calculate placement rates.
- Median outcomes and role types, not only the highest offer.
- Whether online learners can access employer sessions, interview practice and job opportunities.
- Internship availability, eligibility conditions and who arranges the internship.
Build your own career evidence
Plan practical projects, internships where available and a portfolio that demonstrates your skills. Keep examples of problem-solving, teamwork and communication. Career services can support your search, but neither a degree nor placement assistance guarantees employment or a specific salary.
